Hello, I am Mia

I work as a project manager. A parent. An expatriate residing in Berlin, Germany.

Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter of life overseas.

How It Started

Moving to Germany wasn't part of the long-range plan. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and soon grew into something much larger.

The first months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complex than expected.

The Adjustment Period

There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning on the fly. But gradually, patterns emerged. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.

Why I Built Jose Vina Relm

Most information online came from corporate relocation guidance or surface-level travel material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.

This site exists to fill that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Germany.

What This Site Is And Isn't

This site is:

  • Hands-on experience from living in Germany
  • Centered on family life and daily realities
  • Updated when something genuinely changes

This site isn't:

  • Not a tourism authority resource
  • A sponsored review platform
  • Just another generic travel blog

Looking Ahead

Our time in Germany continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.

If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

Mia
